Piano Trios with Nicknames
Sunday August 20th at 2 pm at The Trail United Church - 1300 PIne Ave, Trail
Tickets $20. General Admission. Children 12 and under are free and do not need a ticket. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on show day.
La Cafamore presents piano trios with nicknames, featuring works of Joseph Haydn (Jacob's Dream Trio) and Ludwig Von Beethoven (Ghost Trio). Performers are Angela Snyder on viola, Hendrik Mendes on piano and Carolyn Cameron on violin.
Angela Snyder - Violinist, violist and pianist, Angela Snyder began her studies in Saskatoon with Dorothy Overholt, Robert Close and Fred Nelson for violin, and Joan Halmo for piano. She went on to the University of Toronto, achieving a Master's degree in music performance under the tutelage of Lorand Fenyves. She has been a member of the Banff Centre Chamber orchestra, the Saskatoon Symphony and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.
Hendrik Mendes is a local physician, music lover and enthusiastic amateur pianist.
Carolyn Cameronis a performer, teacher, adjudicator and composer. She began her musical studies with Dorothy Overholt (violin) and Joan Halmo (piano) in Saskatoon. She has been a member of the Saskatoon Symphony, Regina Symphony, Symphony of the Kootenays and National Youth Orchestra of Canada. She currently performs with La Cafamore Chamber group of which she is a founding member, and does numerous fundraising concerts in the Trail/Rossland area.
Two sets with a 15min intermission. Doors open 30 minutes before show time. Tickets purchased through the Bailey Box office can be picked up at the box office before the show, or at the Trail United Church door on show night. The Bailey Theatre Box Office summer box office hours are Tues-Wed-Thursday 12 -4 pm. Ring the buzzer to the left of our Cedar Street entrance. Or call 250-368-9669. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on show day.
