Family Day At Silver City Days

Get out your sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring the whole family down to sunny Gyro Park from noon until 3 pm for a free afternoon of fun at Family Day on May 12 to celebrate Mother's Day!

Meet Grace and Kevin from the GoldenCrust Family Circus. Freshly returned from a trip to Florida, these French-Canadian snowbirds are setting up camp with their colourful RV in your neighbourhood!

This friendly oddball couple have concocted a whimsical, exceptionally cheesy, hilarious, and zany circus-comedy show. Filled with juggling, dangerous stunts, hula hoops, magic tricks, puppetry, music, a multitude of stylish outfits, a perm, a mullet, diabolo, and an abundance of comedy and special effects, this show will amaze and entertain everyone! The GoldenCrust Family show is at 2pm and suitable for all ages.

This year the park will come alive with art and culture!

Want to learn about mural painting? We’ll be creating a community mural on the wall of a building near the water park and you can help out! Lead by artist Turbo Bambi, come be part of this joyful art-dorsey lifestyle piece.

Want to learn a new art or craft and watch artists at work? We’ll have mini artist tents including everything from live painting to needle felting. More details to come! Still looking for the right present for your Mom? Kids can join us at the Mother's Day Arts and Crafts tent run by the VISAC Art Gallery. Come and make a gift for someone special in your life. Or make a Paper Bag Monster for yourself!

Continuing the tradition of great food at Silver City Days, Family Day will be celebrating food from around the world including Greek, Mexican, and Indian food, Popcorn, Ice Cream, and of course Italian desserts for you to enjoy.
